It could be an abcess.
Think pimple, only bigger. Cats, especially are prone to them. The happen when the tiniest cuts/scrapes get infected UNDER the skin. They skin heals and pus pockets form.
If it’s not treated properly the pus goes away and comes back at random, as the kitten’s body tries to fight off the infection. The meds may have something to do with it, but I don’t know, because I don’t know what medicine it is.
It has to be “popped”, drained and cleaned with antiseptic. The kitten also needs antibiotics.

It might be a good idea to confine the kitten to a “clean” room for about 3 weeks and see if the problem continues. A clean room would be one where there are no houseplants or chemicals of any kind. If it’s a bathroom, she could be allergic to soap or deodorant, so be careful and try to think of all possible things she could be allergic to. I suppose cats can be allergic to the same things humans are allergic to.
Some cats are sensitive to plastic food dishes, so you could try stainless steel or ceramic. My cat gets “acne” on her chin when I use plastic.
Have you tried changing her food? For a short period of time you could give her boiled chicken and rice (which is bland enough so it should be okay but is not a complete source of nutrition for a cat so don’t feed this long term without a supplement).
Turn yourself into Sherlock Holmes and try to solve the “Mystery of the Cat Allergies”.

it sounds to me (out of care and concern) like you might want to keep him/her away from hieghts. i mean if she is going to be jummping into the wall and that sort of thing watch out for the hi places. although i know that cats love to get high. any how try using the human remedy… u know how we use ice for our swells, bumps, and bruises… it may work for your cat. he/she may not like it but it will get rid of that swelling.
