My friend got stung by what we think was a sweat bee at a zoo. He put ice on it that day and it seemed to get better. Now two days later it’s much puffier than it was he’s having trouble bending it and he says it feels numb. It also is turning red. I’ve got him taking benedryll and trying to keep it elevated. Any suggestions?
Generally he’s not allergic to most things. The reason I’m not sure if it’s an allergy is because it’s not spreading, it’s staying localized to his finger. It hasn’t gone past the bottom joint.

Earwax is a good idea (really !) or vinegar or your own urine (your own in the sense of the person that was stung).

make sure there isn’t any stinger still in the skin. try making a paste out of Andre’s meat tenderizer and water to put on the area, and get him to a doctor.

Go to the doctors. Usually, a bee sting doesn’t come out like that. He/she may be allergic ed to bees.

The best thing to do when the bee sting happened would have been to make a mud paste and smear the area with mud. That would have drawn out the stinger and toxins.
Since it is getting worse, you should see a doctor because there can be localized tissue damage if the swelling increases. Additionally, a small reaction such as this may be an indicator of future, serious reactions to bee stings.
