For full disclosure I am a beekeeper who sells honey at a local farmers market and often meet vegans who won't try a sample for moral or philosophical reasons. Fine. My question is if bees shouldn't be kept how can you morally eat any produce that can only be grown with commercial pollination like almonds, cranberries, cherries, apples etc. Even the organic farmers that I know at the farmers market pay to have bees brought in.
We don't do pollination because bees can die when they are transported especially early in the season and also even if you are pollinating an organic orchard bees fly up to 3 miles to forage, they can come in contact with pesticides on neighboring farms or other bees that spread mites or a disease.
Pollination kills more bees than sustainable honey harvesting could ever kill. But almonds and cranberries and other crops cannot be commercially produced without pollination.
How do vegans reconcile pollination or that organic produce is grown using manures from farm raised animals?

I have the classic Avocado green appliances and Harvest gold countertops. I cannot afford to update those and they still work great. But I need some paint ideas for the walls and cabinets. We currently have the classic oranges, lemons, and limes wallpaper with dark brown cabinets. We just recently replaced the flooring with oak floor panels (honey in color) Any and all suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

The peaches on my tree are already half the size of golf balls and the bugs are already after them. What can I spray on them to rid them of this problem that want harm the honey bees or myself when they are ready to eat. and how often should I spray them between now and harvest ?
Well I havent seen the little citters yet, but I have seen were the holes are at from where the juse runs out and jells up.
Lar I got an old friend That as a masters degree in this stuff but I lost touch with him. But I seem to remember him saying something about malathion. you just brought that back to me. thanks.
Labgrrl. What ever kind of bug it is doesn't seem to hurt my 2 trees. I have this problem every year but not this early and not this bad. but I will check out this site you gave me. Thinks
Well Hope I got mocking birds so I don't have to worry about birds or any other two or four legged critter getting at my peaches. They keep em run off and don't start eating on them till their ripe. By then I figure they done earned the right to eat a few of em.

physical appearance-
im 5 foot 1 and i weigh 110.
i am 15 years old (haha in 2 MONTHS)
i have typical american shape altho most people would say i have a huge chest, which i try to pay no attention to..
i have brownish, reddish, blondish hair, .. well i think its more of a dark honey brown or something, red tinted, but people said i had "highlights". i do not dye my hair tho.
and.. well honestly i dont think my face is pretty.
umm…… u know jennifer aniston? well, i look like her without makeup, and i have little freckle things, which arent visible unless ur close. theyre from working. i work in the cornfields my summers.
i wear no makeup usually.. but i do my eyebrows tho.
clothing- i wear things like aero or american eagle usually. tight jeans, babyfit shirts. preppy, if ud call it. (in skool or in places i feel like people are gonna make a comment)
workday clothes- jeans (i usually wear work clothes.)
sports/practice (im seen very often in this kinda stuff) i wear long longg shorts, and baggy OR babyfit shirts.
other days (like sunny days that i just wanna be lazy on haha) things i can be seen in include bootie shorts haha, babyfit shirts. sometimes things like pants, pajama pants. yes i wear them in public LOL

things ABOUT me:
im in middle skool.
id do volleyball cuz i love it but i never stay at a skool long enough to stay on a sport..
except TRACK haha which i run,
the 800M and the mile.
i suck.
haha.
i aint been makin very good grades lately, but normally theyre average to good. (heh..)

personality:
i LOVE outdoors things.
i mean, thats my thing.
i dont enjoy malls or things like that unless im drunk or something haha
my hobbies are kinda.. odd a little.
i collect things usually.
u could call me a digger, i guess.
i like to check out all them old buildings u see out there abandoned haha. typical things i look for (usually successfully haha ) are bottles, coins, and anything else that may happen to catch my eye.
im kinda picky somewhat.
maybe cuz i have OCDs. obsessive disorder, meaning- if i dont believe in something, ill either avoid it or do it/ have it and then HAVE to throw it out or stop doing it. like.. gambling. i wont gamble unless im in a really good mood haha.
i enjoy alcohol. big time.
dogs– omw dogs are like my LIFE (other than excavating and other things i like to do)
i LOVE going skating.
and i also love going fishing,, or just plain hiking.
id like to go huntin sometime but im not sure ill ever be able to. no one wants to go, specially in MY family, and im almost never seen alone- for a reason. haha. im not the type of person to be alone. if things get quiet, ive gotta say something. unless im pretty mad.
when i get older, i would like to have an outdoors job, productive, with people probly.
i like my current job (detasseling) but it is a teen job and its not enough income to live off of. and its also only in harvesting season so its not really enough work.
i try to keep my mind busy all the time. if not, i get very anxious. many people know this about me cuz of the way i talk so much and get kinda whiney sometimes.
when i DONT keep my mind busy- i get racing thoughts and i also get shaky.
usually those times include storms, when i cant go out and do something. so, thats why i harrass my stepdad to take me to the store haha. and ive always gotta make up SOME kinda thing to buy.
i do NOT LIKE STORMS. most people out there are like " oh i LOVE IT ".
in my case- like i said before- i have nothing to do, and i get very bored, and there aint no way i can sit still.
anyway,

things i DO NOT like in guys-
i HATE emo people.
ill put that out there straight.
i cant stand that.
i do not believe in bisexuality, i dont believe in gays/lesbians..
im not against them, dont get me wrong– i just think they aint found their person yet or somethin.
i havent either, so..
anyway, i dont like it when guys say one thing near me and go back on it near their friends. if i LIKE the guy enough, its ok and ill get over it eventually (lol) but thats just something i dont like.
i also dont like the type of guy to sit around for his job.
im lookin for someone to be my better half- not my sex bank

things i LIKE in a guy-
i like the type that knows what he likes, and puts that out there, whether other people like it or not.
-guys that can actually get out there and do something..
-that like outdoors things like i do
-honest dudes, that dont even care if im gonna be pssed at them for something theyve done or something. cuz chances are, if they did something or whatever, then they either are truly ok w/it or theyre sorry. and if THEY are then im eventually gonna agree with them probly.
-i want one thats gonna try to get me to do stuff im not used to, instead of bein like "oh whatever"

usually hard liquor.
it might take 4 or 5 shots some days, but hey.

i dont mean gambling as in CASINO gambling haha.
i mean like gambling gambling. lottery, scratches, betting, etc.
just typical stuff like that.
reason i post things like this-
i just had a .. problem.. with a friend of mine.
ud figure that guys my AGE would be enough, and trust me, ive had my fair share of fakes, but this is different.
i cant begin to explain what this is like, but.. i have a friend.. and theyre a lot older than i am, and theyve been my friend for a long time now. they are a very much awesome person, but they.. claimed
