Wild Bees

Wild Bees : Traditional Honey Harvesting in Cambodia. Apis Dorsata, the Giant Honey Bee, is a honey bee of southern and southeastern Asia living mainly in forested areas. Each colony consists of a single vertical comb (sometimes approaching a square metre) suspended from above, and the comb is typically covered by a dense mass of bees in several layers. When disturbed, the workers may exhibit a defensive behavior known as defense waving. Bees in the outer layer thrust their abdomens ninety …

Why do vegans not eat honey, but then they turn around and eat fruit that the bees pollinated?

This seems inherently hypocritical to me. Forgetting the fact that is seems rather dumb to begin with to not eat the bee's honey, but then the fact that they turn around and eat the fruit pollinated by the very bees who's honey they will not use because they are "exploited".

And if you argue that pollination is something the bee's naturally do on their own… Well, so is making honey. And it's not like the beekeepers take so much honey that the bees die, that would just be bad business. More bees are crushed and killed trying to pollinate your fruit than are killed during the harvesting of honey.
They make much more than they would ever need.
Shootsam, i can find 5 questions much more "pointless" than mine in this section, and even on the first page.

Sarah, i don't think you fully grasp what pollination means. It means that bees are bred for the sole purpose to pollinate your fruit because you eat a disproportionate amount of it. It means that bee's are killed and eaten by other animals/insects or just by nature. These animals die needlessly to give you your fruits. It's not different than cows and chickens kept for slaughter.
EXACTLY sarah! That's why there is nothing wrong with killing animals for food. I'm not trying to say that people shouldn't kill or eat anything. I'm merely pointing out how hypocritical this particular facet of veganism is and how pointless being vegan is.
