We don’t hear as much about their crisis in the mainstream media, nowadays but the world’s
honeybees are still dying, it’s amazing how much we depend on these tiny creatures they do after all pollinate our plants and trees. Without their presence mankind’s survival would be at stake. Many years ago our backyard was teeming with them during the summer after our fruit trees became ripe. I remember taking a spray can of bug killer out and spraying after them like crazy. Now I don’t see them anymore and I made a promise if they can back I would completely ignore them and let them dine on the fruit to their hearts delight. How do you feel about the vanishing honey bees.
It is a concern for farmers and anyone with crops that depend on pollination.
Actually many of the bees are being attacked, not by pesticide as first though, but by both fungus disease and by parasitic insect attack.’Scientist are working on the problem in both areas.
There are many other pollinating insects and birds, none as efficient as the bee, but they do work.
Wasps.flies, bumble bees, sweat bees, tiny birds, butterflies, even ants. small mammals.
The wind is also used to spread pollen, We will survive until a cure for the problem is found. I have confidence, But I do feel for the honey bee, and as i said they are our BEST pollinator
