It is a specific book. The kids were best friends and neighbors. They loved to go berry picking. They got attacked by bees and one friend died. It is not My Girl, it was way before that movie. I read it in like 5th grade, so in 1982. Please if you know the book I am talking about let me know, I want my kids to read it.
