Col. Janis Karpinski told a panel of judges at the Commission of Inquiry for Crimes against Humanity Committed by the Bush Administration in New York that several women had died of dehydration because they refused to drink liquids late in the day. They were afraid of being assaulted or even raped by male soldiers if they had to use the women’s latrine after dark.

Most crime is from Chrisitians. They are brain washed! Their world revolves around false beliefs. They believe that if they commit some sort of crime all they have to do is say “god will you forgive me” and everything is all better. Chrisitians are loopy. Also, people that wait to have sex before marriage are also gonna be more involved in rape because you can’t hold in your sex drive, its unnatural. The bible pretty much talks about nothing but killing people for doing “wrong” things like being gay and working on sundays.

Except for references to a couple of chaplains, your attempt to build a case against the Bible and Christians is not valid, at all. I fail to see your logic.
In any case, the military is not without it’s troubles. There are lonely men, some of whom will take their aggressions out in an unwarranted manner, i.e., rape. But, we said, “Sure, we can let women out in the battle field with men.” What about the women allowed on Navy ships? We have put our women in harms way because the women wanted to be equal with men. After years of pressure, our gov’t allowed women in combat and on U.S. Naval ships.
I served aboard a ship in the early eighties. They experimented then with women being on ships – I knew then that it was a bad idea, knowing how some men can be. And now, it becomes the military’s burden to counteract rape and sexual harassment.
Don’t blame the Bible or Christians for this, at all. That idea doesn’t even make sense – Mr. Paine was wrong, too. Blame the advocates who fought to get women out into a situation that would be risky, at best. Blame the wishy-washy politicians who caved in and put our women in harms way.
There is a whole list of psychological reasons why women should not be out with men in a super-stress filled environment as combat or long periods out at sea. It is the foolishness of our military to allow this – there is another area of blame.

Doesn’t matter what denomintion of faith one is, it’s the fact we are ALL sinful. How about the school teacher (in a position of trust) molests our children? how is that any different? Or how about the governor caught in an extramarital affair. Or a police officer, a baby sitter, a chaplin, a priest and the list goes on and on. The answer is to look at ourselves. This is why God says ALL have sinned and fall short regardless if they’re christian, muslim,catholic, mormon, satanists, or chewbacca worshippers.
We are all human and until we look at the one that can change the hearts of all mankind, we will continue to fall short of the grace, mercy and forgiveness of God.

This is one of the reasons I believe women should not be in the military. They get raped when they are prisons of war also. But you have not proved that this is because of Christianity. I will assume that these links are accurate for the sake of argument.
I’m glad you are outraged by the sexual assaults. Every person should be! Jesus never harmed another person, so you can be assured these criminals were not
following Christianity. Jesus even said to love your enemy! Now if these were Muslim men, then we can absolutely say that they were following the example of their prophet. Muhammad raped his child bride. Rape is the only word that can be used since she was only 9. I read the horrible story you provided about a 9 year old Iraqi child and the injuries she sustained, vaginal bleeding and tearing. That had to have happened to Ayisha also when the 50+ year old Muhammad penetrated her. Muhammad also raped many women he captured after slaughtering their husbands and families.

I don’t think it’s Christianity’s fault, but there’s some rather disturbing, twisted versions of Christianity that can flourish within the military, unfortunately – and those “dark” forms can be very hostile to women and non-Christians.
There’s a certain mentality that seems pretty pervasive in the military, unfortunately, that doesn’t treat women too well, under certain circumstances. My guess is that, since there’s so much discipline under normal conditions, that, when presented with an opportunity to step outside the rigid discipline, some folks go too far to the other extreme.
Doesn’t help much that the military’s lowered the recruitment controls, and have been taking in some criminals.
But the biggest problem is the military response – which is horrible. Women who do report that they’ve been attacked find themselves in the hot seat more than anyone else, because the leadership doesn’t want to hear it.
