Can anyone tell me about the affects of alcohol while on antihistamines?

Zyrtec specificallyly (cetirizine). From what I gather from the zyrtec website, wikipedia, and the U.S. National Library of Medicine wed site, they only say avoid drinking alcohol because both alcohol and cetirizine can potentially result in drowsiness. Zyrtec has never made me drowsy and moderate amounts of alcohol very rarely do, so I will drink while on Zyrtec. My friend won’t take allergy medication when we drink at a house with cats, and his allergies usually spoil his night. He doesn’t get drowsy on either zyrtec or while drinking either. This is what he said when i tried to explain he didn’t need to worry about side affects he had never experienced. “antihistimines affect your respitory system and alcohol affects antihistimines. the doctors on that show the doctors said not to. that all the proof i need.” He seems to think if he takes zyrtec and has a couple drinks he’s going to stop breathing.

Need to explain allergies to my team?

My coaches for my high school team want me to explain my life-threatening allergies to my teammates and show them how to use my epipen. The only problem is that I don’t want them to feel sorry for me or be worried all the time about whether or not I will have a reaction. Any ideas?

How important are honey bees to our environment?

It has been said that the honey bee population has decreased alot over the past few years. I have read an article which said that some type of virus may be the reason. Couldn’t this play a big role in our environment? Could this be part of the reason why allergies our on the increase among Americans? I’m just not sure exactly how it could affect the pollen counts. Honey bees are seldom seen anymore. And now its dealing with pests such as Yellow Jackets and wasps. Since the population of these two insects is soaring in our area! I would much rather have the honey bees!

How do I prevent allergies in my future children?

I am not pregnant yet…..maybe in a year or so

I don’t have allergies, but my sister does (environmental). My uncle was allergic to bee stings. But I want to prevent asthma, food allergies, etc too. It is the most terrible thing to deal with I think. We have friends that can’t come over because we have a dog.

For those who already have allergies –
I believe in bio-set an energetic type of permanent allergy elimination. I worked for a chiro who cured many many people. Find a practitioner at www.bioset.net

Why Does My Dog Have Swollen Paws and Other Symptoms.?

My female dog (part Australian Cattle Dog, not sure what else is in her) has been displaying some odd symptoms lately, the most recent of which is that her back feet are swollen. First, she was vomiting and having diarrhea. Since we had recently changed her diet for variety, we thought this was the cause and switched her back (from Pedigree to Beneful). The symptoms seemed to get better, so we were cautiously relieved. Then it seemed that her spine, strangely enough, seemed to be protruding more, despite the fact that she is a somewhat overweight dog. Her belly also seemed bloated. We noticed this only the other day. Now today, her back feet seem swollen. We are making an appointment with our vet as soon as his office opens, but I would appreciate some additional feedback on what her problem might be. We are very worried and afraid it might be serious. After researching the Internet a little, I don’t see any condition which would include the swollen paws. Most sites list allergies or damage from jumping, but this includes only her back feet. It seems too coincidental that her swollen feet don’t have anything to do with her other symptoms. Thank you for reading this and hopefully offering feedback.
