Envirotube #7 – Angry Snake & WildThings

Ku-ring-gai council’s WILDTHINGS. Promote, protect and proliferate urban wildlife! Peter Clarke presents Envirotube, Part 1 on local Sydney reptiles. This month Ku-ring-gai Council’s Paul Saffery (volunteer for Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Services), shows us a rescued, and particularly cantankerous Diamond Python . Taysha Le Compte (Ku-ring-gai Wildthings Officer) finds herself assisting. Director editor – Howard Jackson. “Wildhoop Productions” Wildthings has numerous programs. Native Bees Council can supply hives of stingless, native social bees (Trigona carbonaria). Unlike European bees, these hives are not for the production of honey. Native bees are important pollinators of native plants. Bluetongue lizards (Tiliqua scinoides) WildThings has a licence to breed bluetongues and release year-old offspring on safe residential sites in Ku-ring-gai. Native Fish WildThings can supply native fish which are suitable for freshwater ponds. They will eat and eliminate mosquito wrigglers. Get involved! And the sun ceased its shine.
Radiation coupled with toxic fumes strangled whatever was left alive.
And now the real horror begins.
This is when they begin to think.
