List which of the Shore goers were studs and which were duds, in terms of entertainment on the show, and explain why briefly if you want.
Angelina “Jolie” -
Jenni “J-Wow” -
Nicole “Snooki” -
Sammi “Sweetheart” -
Michael “The Situation” -
Paul “DJ Pauly D” -
Angelina “Jolie” – I thought she was the hottest of the bunch and was looking forward to her attitude and *****iness, but then she just straight up quit after what, not even two episodes? She probably missed her cell phone too much. The dumb **** couldn’t even show up to work on time. I guess the show was better off without her negative attitude after all. Major dud.
Jenni “J-Wow” – I wasn’t too interested in her at first, though I found her outfits and boob job to be hilarious. She ended up being the most down ass ***** on the show, and she was always ready to throw down for her housemates. Her little spinning backhand connect with Mike was great. She’s definitely a girl I’d like to hang out with, and I’d really be itchin to stick it to her if she didn’t have the horrific boob job. All in all, definite stud.
Nicole “Snooki” – I didn’t think that I was gonna be able to stand her at first…she was so short, stumpy and a complete slob from the start. But she later mellowed out and showed her quirky, funny side. Plus, she took a dude’s fist to her cheekbone for the team…that drunk guy clocking her really took the show off. Too bad they couldn’t show it (yeah, I saw it on YouTube). Otherwise, she was fun to watch and I was always wonder, “What is Snooki up to?” Major stud.
Sammi “Sweetheart” – I liked her looks a lot from the start. I thought she was going to be the leader of the girls, she’s tall thin and confident. The way she played Mike in the beginning was a little boggling but hilarious, I thought his ego was going to implode into a messy mess. But when she hooked up with Ronnie she really just got consumed by his shadow, and was rather boring throughout the series. Relative dud.
Michael “The Situation” – This guy was a true character, love him or hate him. I definitely saw the sense of humor in his arrogance and I think he did too. He obviously has some inner confidence issues that he shields with his outward arrogance, but he does a good job of hiding it and he’s great with the ladies. He had the best nickname by far – “There’s about to be a situation up in here” – that kind stuff always cracked me up. He added a ton of drama and entertainment to the show, that cannot be debated. Major stud.
Paul “DJ Pauly D” – When I first saw this guy in the intro, I thought he was the ultimate guido, he completely fit the stereotype. I thought he was going to be a lot of fun to watch, but was pretty disappointed. He had some funny lines scattered throughout, and he wasn’t nearly as arrogant as I thought he was going to be, but otherwise he was pretty translucent, Mike’s silent tag-along. Outside of the “grenade” and “Israeli” incidents, he didn’t add much to the show. Relative dud.
Ronnie – I didn’t like him at first, too much of a meat head roider. This guy is either a drama queen or juicing because he was up and down, one minute he was crying and the next he was pissed off and throwing **** around, the next he’s in love hugging Sammi. But overall, he added a lot of entertainment to the show, including two of the high points – the slippery scuffle with the loser hounding them on the boardwalk, and the “ONE SHOT!!!” KO of the douche bag stalking the group back home from Karma. Legitimate fights make for the best reality TV and Ronnie did not disappoint. Major stud.
Vinny – Vinny’s a tough one…he was basically non-existant throughout the first half of the show…he was more of the “normal” Italian guy and you could tell HBO was looking to bring him in for just that reason. Kind of like Dr. Melfi and her family in the Sopranos – horrified by the stereotypical Italians playing out life before their eyes. But in the second half, Vinny picked it up and added a breath of fresh air to the show. His little confrontations and jabs with Mike were pretty funny, especially when he was playing with Mike’s little sister. Vinny and his fist pumping and sweaty pits were saved in the end. Relative stud.
What do you guys think?
