We bought a house in November. Inspection didn’t reveal problems, but since then we have had infestations of crickets, termites, carpenter ants as well as one mouse and numerous spider eggs in the basement. I fear the warmer spring weather will bring even more and perhaps even dangerous bugs i.e. mosquitoes, bees etc. What to do? help! We have vinyl siding – is everything just living under there? Is that fixable? Should we just move? The exterminator said it looked like there were infestations of termites as long as 4 years ago? what do I do – sell? clean the siding? treat the entire lawn for everything? I have a toddler so chemicals must be safe. Today an exterminator came to look at my ants and we found a large bug in the bathroom he couldn’t even identify!!!! He took it back to his lab in the same bag he used to carry one of my ants and the big thing began eating the ant!!! Please advise.
