On some website for meeting people, they have an area for keywords that you can use to see if you have the same interests. A lot of women list the word “chicken”. Is this really just a reference to food?

Whats better, Beekeeping or Chicken farming?

Since it is spring and I want to start a new hobby, I was planning on getting 3 or 4 baby chicks and rasing them and build them a coop in my backyard. I want them mainly for being a pet, but also for the eggs. I live in the suburbs of chicago, Streamwood, il. I am planning on building a garden as i’m very into sustainable living and i will buy a sixfoot wood fence around my backyard, which is very big. I was also thinking about beekeeping. I was wondering which one will be more interesting and fun and won’t burn a huge hole in my pocket. If you suggest beekeeping, what is the best way to get started? Thanks
