Is homeschooling bittersweet?

I mean, the benefits of having your own family school you I’m sure are phenomenal. But have you seen the personalities (or lack there of) of a lot of these kids? There was the winner of the latest spelling bee on CNN and the kid could hardly get a sentence out. Not real prepared for the real world are we?

I’m sure I’ll get attacked for saying that, just keeping it real.

Disease is nature’s way of “cleaning house”…?

Read the second article…I have been telling people this for years, and they think I am nuts.

Actually, the world biggest threat is the virus known as the human race, expotentially growing, and eventually, like a house of cards, this will all come crashing down.

No one dies a “natural” death…in the end, we all succum to some form of disease, to make way for the next generation(s). It may not be fair, it may not be “PC”, but that’s the way teh system works.

Now we have this stuff called antibiotics…which simply make the bacteria strain come back new and improved with a vengence(like O-Bee-Wan), and these so called research for the “cures”…NOPE…viruses have a tendancy to mutate and morph into something meaner as well. We can’t even cure a cold, never mind an AIDS virus, or cancer.

So when I see a new-born child that has heart surgery, we go, hurray! And what happens down the road from there?
