A question to my fellow beekeepers?

I have a small bee apiary, and I have had a sort of epidemic. I lost a hive in Sept. 08 from unknown causes, I then lost another last month, and today I went and check on my hives to find another one with a pile of bees about 5inch think and an entire body bottom littered with dead bees. I need a way to clean the hives, to kill possible viruses or pest. I was thinking that bleach would work well, but I wanted some more opinions.

What happened to all the bees?

As many of you fellow garderners and poor honey farmers have noticed the bee population in the U.S. has significantly dropped over the past few years. This has damaged my garden because butterflies can’t pick up all the extra slack for pollinating certian plants, some self-pollinate enough but others need help, there used to be lots of bees in my garden but lately your lucky if you see even one, and if there’s two you’re having a great day. Some blame it on cell phone signals (microwaves) confusing the bees. Others on a type of Bee AIDS, what they call it is Colonial Collapse Disorder, CCD for short. Why do you think this all happening. If you’ve read to the end of this thanks.

Not a single Democrat congressman voted against this bill going before the Senate?

Also a republican tried to add a amendment to remove protection for Pedophiles and the Democrats voted it down. Fellow Christians do you believe this filth should be protected by law??
The Hate Crime law, S.909 (and HR1913), will make 30 sexual orientations federally-protected. The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has published 30 such sexual orientations that, because of Congress’s refusal to define “sexual orientation,” will be protected under this legislation. These 30 orientations are listed in the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV), which is used by physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and psychiatrists throughout the U.S. It is considered the dictionary of mental disorders. Those 30 sexual orientations include behaviors that are felonies or misdemeanors in most states.

Among those sexual orientations being protected by S.909 (and HR1913) are these:

Apotemnophilia – sexual arousal associated with the stump(s) of an Amputee
Asphyxophilia – sexual gratification derived from activities that involve oxygen deprivation through hanging, strangulation, or other means
Autogynephilia – the sexual arousal of a man by his own perception of himself as a woman or dressed as a woman
Bisexual – the capacity to feel erotic attraction toward, or to engage in sexual interaction with, both males and females
Coprophilia – sexual arousal associated with feces
Exhibitionism – the act of exposing one’s genitals to an unwilling observer to obtain sexual gratification
Fetishism/Sexual Fetishism – obtaining sexual excitement primarily or exclusively from an inanimate object or a particular part of the body
Frotteurism – approaching an unknown woman from the rear and pressing or rubbing the penis against her buttocks
Heterosexuality – the universal norm of sexuality with those of the opposite sex
Homosexual/Gay/Lesbian – people who form sexual relationships primarily or exclusively with members of their own gender
Gender Identity Disorder – a strong and persistent cross-gender identification, which is the desire to be, or the insistence that one is, or the other sex, “along with” persistent discomfort about one’s assigned sex or a sense of the inappropriateness in the gender role of that sex
Gerontosexuality – distinct preference for sexual relationships primarily or exclusively with an elderly partner
Incest – sex with a sibling or parent
Kleptophilia – obtaining sexual excitement from stealing
Klismaphilia – erotic pleasure derived from enemas
Necrophilia – sexual arousal and/or activity with a corpse
Partialism – A fetish in which a person is sexually attracted to a specific body part exclusive of the person
Pedophilia – Sexual activity with a prepubescent child (generally age 13 years or younger). The individual with pedophilia must be age 16 years or older and at least 5 years older than the child. For individuals in late adolescence with pedophilia, no precise age difference is specified, and clinical judgment must be used; both the sexual maturity of the child and the age difference must be taken into account; the adult may be sexually attracted to opposite sex, same sex, or prefer either
Prostitution – the act or practice of offering sexual stimulation or intercourse for money
Sexual Masochism – obtaining sexual gratification by being subjected to pain or humiliation
Sexual Sadism – the intentional infliction of pain or humiliation on another person in order to achieve sexual excitement
Telephone Scatalogia – sexual arousal associated with making or receiving obscene phone calls
Toucherism – characterized by a strong desire to touch the breast or genitals of an unknown woman without her consent; often occurs in conjunction with other paraphilia
Transgenderism – an umbrella term referring to and/or covering transvestitism, drag queen/king, and transsexualism
Transsexual – a person whose gender identity is different from his or her anatomical gender
Transvestite – a person who is sexually stimulated or gratified by wearing the clothes of the other gender
Transvestic Fetishism – intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving cross-dressing
Urophilia – sexual arousal associated with urine
Voyeurism – obtaining sexual arousal by observing people without their consent when they are undressed or engaged in sexual activity
Zoophilia/Bestiality – engaging in sexual activity with animals
It’s not a law yet as the senate must approve. I only copied this from another site. From what i’m reading none of you seem to accept the fact’s that once you go down this road it is only the beginning of more moral destruction. I heard Fox news has more about this on there web site.

Fellow Christians, do you agree with this?

Romans 3, verse 10 says, “…as it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one.’” Yet, James 5:16 says that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much. If absolutely no one is righteous, then who is James talking about? Luke chapter 1 says that Elizabeth and Zechariah were righteous before God. If absolutely no one is righteous, then how can that be? Is Scripture contradicting itself? No, the folks who interpret Romans as saying absolutely, without exception, no one is righteous, are misinterpreting that passage. They are failing to realize that the key to understanding Romans 3:10 is the phrase, “it is written.”
Here in Romans, Paul is quoting from the O.T., Psalm 14 to be exact. In Psalm 14 it says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God. They are corrupt…there is none that does good.’” But then that same psalm goes on to talk about the “righteous.” Well, if none has done good, who are these righteous the psalm is talking about? Obviously, when the psalmist says that none has done good, he is talking about the fools who say there is no God. He is not talking about absolutely everyone.

Just so Paul when he quotes from this psalm. Paul is not saying absolutely no one is righteous, if he was, then how do you explain all the Old and New Testament passages that refer to the righteous? In Romans 3:11 it says that no one seeks for God. Does that mean that absolutely no one is seeking God? No, to interpret it that way would be ludicrous!
Just so verse 23 which says that “all have sinned”. Babies haven’t sinned, have they? Little children haven’t sinned, have they? No! This is not an absolute. There are exceptions. What about John the Baptist? Did he sin? Scripture says that he was filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb. Can someone who is filled with the Holy Spirit his entire life ever sin? It’s something to think about.

So, it is perfectly legitimate to say that these passages from Romans, when interpreted in context, in no way conflict with the Church’s teaching on Mary being without sin.

Beekeepers: Are you motivated by the chance to earn money, or do you also have a love of bees?

We recently had a hive relocated from our yard by a local beekeeping group member. But our first attempt to get the bees removed was an eye-opener. The fellow said the bees were unmovable but that he would kill them for $150. (This despite the fact we’d told him my husband was unemployed and that we did not want to kill the bees).

Then I went to a lecture on beekeeping, and the speaker said the hive was movable. So we tried again. The man that came out rode his bike, added a bee box, and came back 2 days later to remove the bees. He reluctantly accepted a pound of organic coffee and $20. In the meantime, my husband got to talk with him off and on for hours and learned a lot.

The 2nd man obviously had a love of bees and wasn’t in it for the money, but I’m afraid a lot of people get beekeepers like man #1. Where do you stand, or what experiences have you had with friends who keep bees?
