How well can little children think?

Some people don’t think little children can’t think about life as well as adults; but believe it or not, I taught myself the concept of self-control when I was a Kindergardener. I taught myself that concept at a young age because I remembered some adult mentioning how little children don’t know when to keep still. That statement made me think to myself, “What if my parents told me to do something, and I decide to stand there and not say a word? What would the police do if I just stood still in jail with silence? Who would kill me just for not following orders and stand there and choose to do nothing?” I thought of that as a Kindergardener which was my first thought of life or self-control to be more specific. How well can little children think, and is it possible for a child’s thought to surpass any thought of an adult. Note that children can notice a few things before a parent thinks it’s time to tell them.
Ex. Birds and Bees -A lot of kids knew before the parents said anything.

Help! Can someone identify this type of insect?

Ok so the other day my sister was mowing the lawn and these huge bugs started to like hover and swoop around her. We at first thought that they were hornets, but they are way to big. They look like some type of bee/wasp/hornet. Like 2″-3″ long, they don’t have the pointy ovipositor thing. They have a brown and hairy thorax and a black and yellow striped abdomen with a small “stinger” looking thing. they’re huge and they keep hanging around by our patio. I don’t know if wood has to do with it at all but we have a wood table and a wood fence.

Please help me figure out what type of bug this is.

Oh and if possible, are they harmful.

What are these weird flying bugs…?

Ok, i got a question. I saw outside my window a large swarm of flying creatures in my back yard. My first thought was “Christ! I got a hive somewhere” I headed back there, looked around and didn’t see anything at first.

Then i spotted it. A beam of my house had this TINY pin hole, and these little winged red things were climbing out and flying off, and flying back into the wee tiny pin hole.

Now, they don’t buzz, and they don’t fly like a bee. They just flutter and are all over the place. Kind of like a moth or a fly. They ae also coming out during the day mainly from what I have seen.

I live in California, the Bakersfield area. Anyone know what these might be, and how to get ris of these pests / bugs…whatever? Thanks in advance!
i could try wd-40 I suppose…

After I first got a good look at them, i thought…maybe they were termites…but a friend of mine said termites wouldnt be coming and going like that..they would only come….so…im left utterly confused.
