soldiers are fighting for our freedom? In the last 100 years when have we ever been in danger of losing it?

the government keeps saying soldiers gave their lives for our freedom. we were never in danger of not being free only in danger of not controlling the oil in the middle east of late. Vietnam? still no danger of fredom taken away! WWII ? fights over land not our freedom or taking over our country to bee worried about. truth is no country is trying to take over the US but the gov. tells people these wars are for our freedom so we dont question their authority. why do idiots keep getting suckered into joing the military when the only people who ever died for our country were the forefathers . And as far as freedom goes the US gov is just a big PIMP the has you go out and work, then you give them some of the money you made just like a hooker does. sounds pretty free to me!! greatest country? maybe just the lesser of all these evils? more like the richer of all the evils but we still cant feed our homeless!! but we sure feed the rest of the world and then some

I am writing a fantasy story here. I need inspiration for an amazing world/character?

I have the main characters already. a motley crew consisting of a boy literally alone on a boat for his life, two fish friends he imagined to keep sane, a fortune teller/hooker, a baby mouse, son of the three blind mice.

I like occult inspiration but not evil, more the unconventional folklore that hasn’t been used by Hollywood:
A beehive based on the tower of babel residing east of “eden”
A clock tower where the three blind mice live
A floating wheel surrounding a whirlpool that acts as the world’s compass
A world that is flat who’s boundaries is one huge mirror
A jaguar who caused the last apacolypse

I tend to pull inspiration from biblical sources. tower of babel, Mary Madeline, paradise lost, rapture, seven deadly sins, holy crusades

America’s native mythology, thunderbird, sea serpant, jaguar apocolypse, animals tell the world’s ending

I also sometimes pull from science, like bees disappearing, schrodinger’s cat, multidimensions, warping of space time.

And children’s tale’s, like three blind mice, pied piper, sailing to the stars on a boat, stuff like that

I’m not using steampunk or cyberpunk for this story. Just a simple childish story for adults that has ideas that are extraordinary that don’t need too much description. I want to hear your ideas and what you can come up with. They don’t even have to fit perfectly together. Part of the story is different ideas of how the world is. Like the Beehive is almost strictly where I use my religious references, the oceans world is mostly where I use my native American references, and I’m leaving the children stories for a obscured city.

I personally know how it is to have your ideas warped into odd shapes and I will try to respond and tell you if and how I might use the ideas and if you don’t like it, I won’t use it.

I really loved coming up with this story and I still want to add more before I finish it. I just want to see that there are still people who have imagination left and if my story is complete yet.
