If a student breaks a window by accident while playing baseball outside, who is liable for the cost of repair?

The accomodation guidelines state that: ‘The student will be responsible for any loss, damage, or disruption caused by him/her, and nothing in his contract shall cause the University to be responsible for repairing any damage caused wilfully or negligently by the student.’

The key phrase here is ‘wilfully or negligently’ – does an honest fluke accident, when the game was not being played in dangerous proximity to the building, classify as ‘negligence’?
I should add that the broken window was at the student’s university halls of residence, which I certainly would have thought would have insurance to cover this kind of thing.

How to kill gnats (need new ideas)?

Ok everyone. While I was visiting my parents, my apartment became infested with gnats and ants. My apartment complex got rid of the ants but refuses to do anything about the gnats. I have tried everything I can find online but I am at a loss.

I have tried:

Vinegar bowls: It kills a lot of them but it isn’t working much. They are still everywhere.

Cleaning the drains: I tried vinegar, clorox, baking soda, etc.

Rubbing alcohol and water: I tried spraying it on them, it seemed to kill the ones hit directly, but there are too many to get to that.

A flying insects spray bought at TSC: This worked for a good amount of them, but now it doesn’t. Plus I have to take Grasy (my cat) and cover Fyre (my fish) and sit outside for 15 minutes. Ever wrapped a cat in a blanket and sat outside with her for 15 minutes in the Texas heat?

Fly strips: Both regular and dipped in vinegar: This again catches a bunch of them. But it can only be hung in one spot of the kitchen, because of the fact that it has to be on a hook and there is no good place in my house to hang it besides the kitchen, so it doesn’t catch most of them.

I have cleaned the dishwasher, the oven, the microwave oven, everything. My house has been sprayed with clorox (yes it makes me sick because I’m allergic to it, but I had to handle it,) rubbing alcohol, and everything possible. The house is spotless, except for the daggum gnats!

I can’t eat in my apartment, I can’t use the bathroom, I can’t sleep in my bed, without them swarming and attacking me. Homework is hard to do even. And they bite and leave itching, red spots everywhere. Please, someone, anyone help.

I dont know how they got there. I just want them gone!

Thanks in advance guys!
Yes I have a cat and a fish, but it doesnt swarm around either of them or their stuff. (Although if they land on my fish’s bowl he eats them lol.) As for a gun, I dont own one so. Not that I am against them, just dont have one. And I dont think the complex will be happy with me shooting them lol.

What effects will the massive death of bees have on Humans? Should we be worried about this?

According to a news article released today, the death of bees can threaten our food supply. What other effects could the massive loss of bees have on humans?

Here is the article

What should I do if I knock honeycomb off of a top bar?

I have a top bar beehive and I went out today to move the false back so they have more room to build honey comb. Unfortunately, in the process of doing this, I knocked two of the biggest honey combs, all filled with brood, off of their top bars. I’m not sure what I should do with this comb. Should I leave it in the hive? Will any of the brood survive if I leave it in there? Or should I take it out and consider it a loss? Will it seriously harm my hive? Oh, I feel so horrible!
