Does the smell of peppermint/mint keep bees away?

I read somewhere bees dislike the smell of peppermint. It explained it as if you were to use a natural mixture as a spray and spray the nest the bees will go away.
I know people say the same for vinegar…but that attracts bees.
If I put on lotion with menthol will the bees stay away from me?

Anyone grow Dotted Mint before?

I tried for two seasons but they both died unfortunatly. I had one about 6 inches long but it was still to early for any flowers to appear. I then saw some along a bike trail and got to see how unique they look. anyone grow them for fun?

I want to plant mint in my garden, but does it attract bees???? help!!?

I’m not sure whether to plant mint or not since I don’t know if it will attract bees or wasps…I have plenty of that already and would like to know if maybe anyone also knows of any plants that might keep them away…thanks for any advice, it’s greatly appreciated!!!!
