Do you believe that religion holds back society?

Because of religion we have been unable to advance technology regarding abortions, stem cell research, wars in the name of differing beliefs. They killed Galileo for claiming the world is round. Even in the middle ages, the hypodermic needle wasn’t approved by the Catholic church for hundreds of years. What are your thoughts on the subject?
you say our government holds back society but the government is Christian. The President uses religious tactics by claiming he speaks to God.

Which Tarantula should I get?

I have done a lot of research on tarantula’s and my son really wants one, does anyone know which tarantula i should get that is easy to care for and would make a good pet? Also that isn’t aggresive, doesn’t run very fast, allows people to handle it and is children friendly? (my son is not allergic to bee stings)

Global effect of the missing bees?

Its a scary fact when you do research- Bee’s pollinate up to eighty percent of the world’s crops, and when bees die, crops suffer. Not only that but bees also pollinate alfalfa, and its shortage could seriously hit the beef industry, which uses alfalfa for feed. My Questions are: Why do you think the bees are dying, and what huge global effect will that have on humanity?

What happens to bees who disappear from ccd?

I’ve been doing some research on Colony Collapse Disorder for a class, but I can’t quite understand what is going on here.

Do bees that are affected by colony collapse disorder die or do they leave? Because everywhere I read they say they disappear but they don’t always find bees in the hives…

If you have any experience in the subject, care to enlighten me? Thanks!

Clling any bee experts… Is it illegal to keep killer bees in the UK? Is it possible?

This is for research for a children’s book so I can be flexible with the truth but I’d like some grounding in the reality of the siutation. Obviously by killer bee I mean Africanised Honey bee.
