ok i dont know where to start, i have these big rock n roll type uncles, there pretty awesome, when i didnt have a clue about music they was the ones to teach me of the good bands, i was around 8 when my uncle first told me about guns n roses, i would often wonder about the name(actually not hearing the band intill later on) wonder what it ment, after awhile my friend played a song called paradise city, it was on his cell so the quality was bad, when i got home i heard it properly and it was amazing the solos gave me shivers, ever since i heard that song i would always ask my uncles for music advice (what to listen to, who sings this) it was not long after my uncle introduced me to many other great bands, mainly queen, at my age was more awesome than anything, later on i went to the shops with my mother and brought some CDs i heard my uncle talking about, led zeppelin, the rolling stones, aerosmith, loads, one day he brought his AC/DC cd into the car, it was the first time i had heard them and i thought it was amazing, it was like the music made you feel invincible, he told me about the who and said he seen them live and just how crazy they were, after sitting around bored on my computer one day i decided to look up some bands when i came across the most godlyest band of all, the beatles, they didnt have one boring song, it was all just great, everything about them was awesome, about cristmas 2008, as i was unwrapping my gifts i opened a CD from my mother, which was infact, guns n roses chinese democracy album, i was like OMFG OMFG OMFG, but after listening to it i felt really disappointed and cheated, i still listened to the old guns n roses, i didnt like the new axl that much and after slashs more recent stuff (involving pop artists) i dont like him much either, i felt really let down, here comes the worst part, my uncle who had taught me all of this great music now likes, dare i say it, my chemical romance
, its like seeing your hero getting shot down, if you was like 4-5 it would be like superman getting blown up, he gave up all these amazing bands to listen to that, shit…..what the hell happend to music :’(
