My almost 5 y/o son developed a hard dime sized lump above his left temple, about six weeks ago. At first, he complained of pain, so I thought he must’ve bumped his head. I kept an eye on it, and although it didnt go away, he stopped complaining. I assumed it was going to take awhile to heal, like the bump on his shin, when he fell at cub scouts. Anyway, its bee 6 weeks and he now has began complaining again. He just says his head hurts, and it hurts to touch the lump. He has an appt w/ the ped. today, but I am wondering if anyone else’s child has experienced this? What could it be?
Excuse me Tysdad62-
I wasnt asking you to give your opinion on my parenting, I was asking for any suggestions as to what this lump might be. FYI, it has been looked at twice, by a nurse, while I was in the peds. office for another child. I was told to keep an eye on it, and that is what I have done. Although, that isnt really any of your business, seeing as I was only asking for opinions about the bump-not the situation.
