Is my best friend’s sister my soul mate? Has the universe been pushing us together through coincidence/synchronicity for years? Or rather is this a case of mutual physical/sexual attraction mixed in with odd coincidence and opportunity?
Ive been best friends with John Q since we were 8 . Liz is John’s younger sis by 3 yrs, The Q’s moved from MI to VA in 99 and to TX in 03, but John & I stayed best friends & our families stayed close by going on trips together. Liz was always the bratty lil sister of my best friend & I treated her like she was my bratty sis. *This is where coincidences begin*
There was 1 special thing that Liz & I have always shared: shes the ONLY PERSON IVE KNOWN with the SAME BIRTHDAY as me, Jan 31.
I never thought of Liz til May 06 when I attend Liz’s sis’s wedding. I was 21, Liz was 18 & just graduated HS. She was gorgeous, vibrant, & fun, she was even Prom Queen. I hadn’t seen Liz since 03 & couldn’t not stare at her all night. Well, we all went to a bar where Liz decided to sit on my lap in front of John, her sis, and everyone. It was a situation where people notice, but it seemed innocent , just old friends. Well I had that weird warm fuzzy feeling while her thighs were on my lap. I knew she felt the same, cause she did’t move much. FYI, I’m good with the ladies, but this came out of nowhere, I did not initiate.
I didn’t talk to Liz til Feb 07 when Liz & Ms Q joined my fam in the DR. Liz was the sexiest girl @ the resort , I tried not to pay her much attention. However, my dad noticed, not shocked, that Liz seemed very into me, and not my bro who is her age. Liz and I subtly flirted the whole trip and got close.
In 07 I moved back to MI for grad school. Well during early Sept, a OU football game was on TV. I joked with my friend that I would see Liz. Well, who else should clearly appear on my TV within second , but Liz! I couldn’t believe it and called John to get her # . The 2nd thing about this is that I was the only one who saw Liz on TV, and it was random, 1000s of miles away. This coincidence let us to trade cell #s naturally. Fast forward, Mar 08, DR Rd 2.
John didn’t attend the trip due to work& my bro couldn’t come at the last min cause he didn’t renew his passport. So as luck would have it, it was just our parents, Lizzy, & I. We were both single. Without John or my bro around, Liz & I were together non stop. The 2nd night, Liz took me to the disco to dance. I was drunk and kept trying to kiss her, & she resisted , & resisted, & then finally let in, we made out! I barely remembered & acted like it did’t occur the next day. 2 days later, Liz declares her & I are doin Tequila shots in the PM. Well the PMfinally rolls around & Liz lead me to the bar
We got drunk & flirted, Liz turned the talk to ‘us.’ 1st she said I was trying to make out with her but she really wanted to kiss me & finally let in. She then told me about how at her sister’s wedding we were blackout & makin out @ the hotel & were caught by groomsmen. Meaning her sis & mom knew for 2 yrs that a ‘thing’ was brewin between us. The talk progressed towards hookin up. Well my dream ended as Ms Q figured out what was goin on , she quickly ushered Liz off . The rest of the trip consisted of only flirting.
I did not see her again til 2010; Liz now had a BF. In Feb, I visited John in TX. Liz was @ OU, but I did find out another coincidence, Liz & I would be in Vegas on the same night in May. The night came, Liz & I were close again, but in a genuine, mutual admiration way, since she had a BF
I hadn’t thought of Liz until recently. Liz messaged me her # after seein I lost my phone & texted me about my hot pics on Fbook, showed her friends. We talked more & she found I was gettin a puppy. The last 3 weeks shes been the most curious about my pup, texting & emails, all while Im in MI and shes in OK, Which brings me to the message she sent today: asking me to visit her, not John, but her & the fam, bring my dog, see her niece, etc.
It wasn’t until this recent communication with Liz that I even considered soul mates. I had written the situation off as impossible due to distance & her having a BF. But this weird energy keep pushing us together in the most random of times &situations. its obvious we are very attracted to each other, enjoy each other, and have a ‘thing’ for each other. But she has a BF, we live 1000s of miles apart, & shes my best friends sister, so if it didn’t work, it would be the worst thing ever, but if it does, its a story you could make into a movie!
So what do you say? How should I handle the situation? Do you think there’s something real there & the universe wants it to happen? Or is it just a bunch of random coincidences that happen to synch up with mutual physical attraction? If you were me, what would you do? Do I voice my opinion soon?
