I am looking to start a small colony of two hives and i am wondering how to do it. My question is:
Do i need a queen per hive or will one queen operate two hives, thanks for the help guys cya!

Each hive needs to have a queen. If you are buying a package or nuc of bees to install into your hives, one package/nuc has one queen. It’s good to start with two hives but best to start them in spring. You can shoot me an email with questions.
