There is no specific limit to the number of characters that you can include in descriptions and keywords for your web pages. The best thing to do is to include everything that is related to the contents of the page. However, remember that now-a-days most search engines match search terms with the actual contents of web pages they have crawled through. Another important thing that search engines care about is the titles of web pages they crawl through (i.e. the text between in the head element of the page). So you won’t necessarily make your web pages more popular on search engine results by including a long list of keywords in a meta element.

-Title Tag should be very few words and consist of the main keywords
-Description Tag should be keyword laden but appear normal as a normal description. Keep to 150-180 characters.
-Keywords Tag – keep this to less than 10 keyword phrases and only include those keyword phrases that are part of your web page content. List the primary keyword phrase first. The order of the keyword phrases matters. Plurals matter too!
